Rich History, Nature, Culture – 10 Days

Day 1:Arrive in Beijing, meet and assist and transfer to hotel.

Day 2: Great Wall , National Stadium, Aquatic Centre.
Breakfast in the hotel. Visit Great Wall Badaling section, watch inside of 2008 Olympic architecture including Bird Nest and Water Cube.
Great Wall: The Great Wall of China is a series of stone and earthen fortifications in China, built, rebuilt, and maintained between 5th century BC and the 16th century to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire during the rule of successive dynasties. Several walls, referred to as the Great Wall of China, were built since the 5th century BC, the most famous being the one built between 220 BC and 200 BC by the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang; this wall was located much further nort than the current wall built during the Ming Dynasty, and little of it remains.
The National Stadium (Bird’s Nest): National Stadium, nicknamed the “Bird’s Nest”, hosted the Olympic opening and closing ceremonies, as well as athletics and football competitions.
National Aquatics Center (Water Cube): It is axially related to the National Stadium on the north part of Beijing Central Axis an reinforces the historical and cultural features of Beijing city. National Aquatics Center was the venue for swimming, diving, synchronized swimming and water-polo final during the Olympic Games. The total seating capacity is 17,000, including 6,000 permanent and 11,000 temporary for Games was removed after Games. Dinner at Local restaurant.

Day 3 :Full Day Tour –Tiananmen, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven,

Forbidden City: Built from 1406-1420 during the Ming Dynasty, the Imperial Palace, popularly known as the Forbidden City, was the permanent residence of the emperors of
the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1911). It covers over 720,000 square meters of floor space, with more than 8,700 rooms, surrounded by city wall as high as ten meters and a
City most as wide as 52 meters.

Tian’anmen Square: It is the largest city square in the world , representing symbol of China’s national pride surrounded by many grand buildings including the Heavenly Gate (entry to the Forbidden City), Museums, government buildings and Chairman Mao’ Mausoleum.)
Temple of Heaven: At the Temple of Heaven Emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1911) worshiped Heaven and prayed for good harvests. A masterpiece of the Ming and Qing architectural art and a precious example of China’s ancient architecture, the Temple of Heaven is the largest architectural group for worshipping Heaven in the world. In 1961, it was listed by the State Council as a key monument under state protection.” In 1998, it was recognized by UNESCO as a human heritage of the world.
Dinner is served as famous Beijing dish-Roasted Duck.After that, check in the hotel .

Day 4: Hutong Tour with Local family Lunch,Hapy Valley Theme Park.

Continue to explore Beijing. Today’s highlights: Hutong, Beijing Happy Valley.Can explore the option of alocallunch with a local family.
Beijing Hutongs: Beijing’s hutongs, lanes or alleys formed by lines of Siheyuan (a compound with houses around a courtyard) where old Beijing residents live.
Happy Valley Beijing: is an amusement park in Beijing built and operated by Beijing OTC. The park, which is located in the east of Beijing, opened in July, 2006 It is one of four chained theme parks with the other three Happy Valley theme parks located in the city of Chengdu, Shanghai – opening 2009 and Shenzhen. Similar in style with the Disneyland Park, Happy Valley Beijing also featured distinctive landscapes and themes throughout the resort along with featured rides within the differen themes.

In total there are more than 40 rides, 10 of which are extreme rides, an IMAX theater with seven screens as well as a shopping complex.

Day 5: Beijing Zoo,Beijing Aqarium, Botanical Garden
Today’s highlights including Beijing Zoo, Beijing Aquarium and Beijing Botanical Garden.
Beijing Zoo: Beijing Zoo, situated to the west of Beijing Exhibition Center, was known for a short time after the founding of the People’s Republic as the Western Suburbs Park (Xijiao Gongyuan). At present, the zoo houses over 7,000 creatures of 600 different species, including the giant panda, red-crowned crane and Pere David’s deer-all unique to China-as well as the African giraffe, rhinoceros, chimpanzee and antelope; American continent; wild ox from Europe; and elephant and gibbon from India.

– The Beijing Aquarium: is the world’s largest inlan aquarium. Thousands of varieties of fish and sea mammals from around the world swim in its artificial salt water tanks.
– Beijin Botanical Garden: covers a large area of 564,000 square metres. The gardens include a dozen exhibition districts and halls, such as the tree garden, a perennial bulb garden, a rose garden, a peony garden, a traditional Chinese medical herb garden, a wild fruit resources district, an environment protection plant district, a water and vine plant district, an endangered plant district, and exhibition greenhouses for tropical and subtropical plants. There are also several Buddhist temples locates within the areas of the botanical garden

Day 6:Transfer to Xian- Visit City Wall, Muslim Street,Great mosque.
Take a flight head to Xi’an. Uppon arrival, pay a visit to ancient city wall, Muslim Street
And the the Great Mosque.
Ancient City Wall: Built in the Ming dynasty about 700 years ago, the wall measures around 13.9 km in circumference, 12 meters in height, 18 meters wide at its base while 15 meters wide on the top.
Grand Mosque: Great Mosque in Xi’an is one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved
Islamic mosques in China and its location is northwest of the Drum Tower (Gu Lou) on Huajue Lane.

Day 7: Tour Terracotta warriors, Big goose pagoda,
Dumpling dinner, Tang dynasty Show.
Full day sightseeings in Terracotta Warrior Museum, Big Goose Pagoda. Have local food dumplings as dinner. Appreciate performance of Tang Dynasty show in the evening.
– Terracotta Warriors: The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. Work is ongoing at this site, which is around 1.5 kilometers east of Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s Mausoleum, Lintong County, Shaanxi province. It is a sight not to be missed by any visitor to China.
– Big Goose Pagoda: The pagoda (7 floors,64.5meters high) where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his classics brought from India.
– The Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show: a wonderful performance of the ancient music and dance, is a mus when you visit Xian. The city, which was formerly known as Chang’an has a very long history, and was the imperial capital during 13 dynastic periods. Of these, the Tang Dynasty (618 – 907) was the most prosperous and glorious of all. The Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show is an outstanding exponent of this ancient stable and prosperous society, keeping alive its splendid culture and providing an insight into the peaceful life style of the period

Day 8: Xian to Shanghai- Tour Bund, sight seeing Tunnel, Hung pu river cruise, TV tower,
Morning fly to Shanghai. Pay a visit to Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Bund, Sightseeing Tunnel, cruise on Huangpu river in the evening.
The Bund: Also called the Zhongshan Road, it is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years, winding a 1500 meters (less than one mile) length. Walking along the Bund, which is at the west shore of the Huangpu River, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower can be seen on the opposite side and also the Jin Mao Tower.Being one of the Top Ten Shanghai Attractions, the Bund is a really beautiful and special place which is worth visiting. On the western side of Zhongyi Dongyi Road stand 52 buildings, showing various Chinese and foreign architectural styles, hence the name of “World Architecture Exposition in Modern Times???.
Oriental Pearl TV Tower: Standin by the Huangpu River with a height of 468 meters high, Oriental Pearl TV Tower is the highest TV Tower in Asia (up to the last floor to see Shanghai scenery).It is a new landmark of Shanghai in 21st century.
Cruising on Huangpu River: Huangpu River, yellow in color and ice-free all the year round, is 14 kilometers long, and averages 400 meters wide and 9 meters deep. On a starry night, cruising on the river you can see the stately row of buildings at the Bund. This quintessential example of multi-national architecture gives off an aura of color, painting the night skyline. The splendid array of structures resembles misty ice palaces in a riot of colors-golden yellow, pure white and aquamarine blue. Constantly changing colors mesmerize its visitors and lure them to linger even longer.

– Shanghai Bund Sightseeing Tunnel: Connecting th north side of Chen Yi Square at the Bund and the Oriental Pearl Radio and Television Tower at Pudong, the Bund Sightseeing Tunnel has a total length of 646.7 meter and is China’s first cross-river artificial sightseeing tunnel. Modern high technologies are applied in the decoration of th interior walls of the tunnel, providing the passengers with background music as well as pictures, patterns and views about people, history, culture, science and technology and natural scenery
Day 9: Tour Yuyuav garden,Shanghai museuem,Scince & technology museuem, Acrobatic show.

Breakfast in the hotel. Today you will be escoted to visit Yuyuan Garden, Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Science & Technology Museum.Watch an amazing acrobatic show in the evening.
Yuyuan Garden: A traditional Chinese park decorated by beautiful pavilions, miniature lakes, bridges and rockeries. Yu Garden is not only a famous classical garden in South China, but also a major historic and cultural site under state protection.

– Shanghai Museum: As the biggest museum in China, Shanghai Museum has a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural heritages. The museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, an calligraphy.

– Shanghai Science & Technology Museum: is located on the southeast en of Century Avenue, beside Century Park in Pu Dong New Area. With the theme of

Day 10 : Transfer to Airport / Station
